This approach to painting interior subjects from the particular technique of Carlos San Millán will focus on achieving unity and coherence in tones and lights (so important in this type of subjects) through previous underpainting work, chromatic nuances, and light treatment. This workshop is aimed at students with previous experience and intermediate or advanced level.
“I was born in Spain in 1969 and now live and work in Quito, Ecuador. My paintings have a big autobiographical component: My subjects belong many times to my immediate environment, to my nearest reality, largely due to my belief that it is not necessary to go too far to find the universal in everyday things. I would define my work as a continuous searching that becomes frustrating sometimes; I’m a little obsessed with reaching some way to represent things and matter satisfactorily and definitively.”
If a month before the workshop we haven’t reached the minimum amount of students for the workshop to happen the workshop will be canceled.
If you cancel less than 30 DAYS prior to the start of a workshop, you will not receive a refund. If you must cancel in this time frame we encourage you to find a replacement, and your replacement can reimburse you for your course fee. If you cancel before the 30-day limit you will receive a full refund minus the 3% Paypal fee. Unfortunately, students who start a multiple-day class and are unable to attend any portion will not receive a refund.
